Flight Test Engineer

Job Summary:

A UAV Flight test engineer is responsible for oversees drone performance, operating a drone, testing

and making it ready for operations.

Duties and responsibilities:

● Planning and conducting flight tests.

● Testing new manufactured drones and making them ready for operations.

● Data collection and analysis.

● Evaluating UAV's performance and safety.

● Perform pre and post flight checklists to ensure safe flight tests.

● Analyze weather forecasts to ensure safe flights.

● Monitor drones during entire flights.

● Perform equipment testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Requirements:

● B.E/B.TECH in Aerospace/Aeronautical stream.

● Proficiency in operating drones and remote-control systems.

● Familiarity with automated flight planning tools/software.

● Candidates must have strong background knowledge of drones and its functioning.

● Candidates must have hands-on experience in manual tuning of various types of drones.

● Candidates must have knowledge of Arducopter and Arduplane.

● Familiarity with DGCA rules and regulations.

● Proficiency in written and verbal communication skills in Hindi and English

● Documentation of UAVs logs and technical snags.

● Ability to work under pressure and off shift hours (depends on situation)

● Having experience on medium category drones

● Candidates must have an experience of fixed wing flying.

● Candidates must have a DGCA approved drone pilot license.

● Candidates must have a 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler driving license.
