We are currently seeking a highly qualified and visionary individual to join our team as Senior Contract and Purchasing Lead. The role involves overseeing and optimizing most of the purchasing activities. Your primary focus is on ensuring the efficient day-to-day operations align with business objectives. Contribute to leading and developing a small purchasing team, you collaborate closely with Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing and Quality Management. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain Management, your responsibilities contribute to the seamless integration of procurement processes within the broader organizational framework.

Your key responsibilities

Oversee the procurement of both direct (raw materials, packaging) and indirect materials (consumables, technical goods and services) at Pentapharm

Lead the development of the purchasing team, driving excellence and fostering collaboration

Formulate and implement strategic sourcing initiatives and risk mitigation strategies to enhance overall procurement efficiency

Optimize the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process and collaborate with stakeholders to select and qualify suppliers

Manage product documentation, purchase contracts and participate in cross-functional projects

Maintain accurate material and supplier data in the ERP system for streamlined operations

You bring

Completed academical studies with Business Administration, Chemistry, Engineering, or Economics background

Additional education in procurement/sourcing, demonstrating a commitment to continous learning and professional development

Proven experience in operational purchasing, particularly within the dynamic landscape of small businesses, with a preference for the life science industry

Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, essential for navigating complex business environments

Demonstrated leadership experience with small teams, showcasing your ability to inspire and guide colleagues

Proven capability to handle intricate assignments independently

Advanced proficiency in MS Office and hands-on experience with ERP systems, reflecting your technological acumen

Excellent people skills and outstanding communication abilities
