Provides expertise in the intersecting areas of child welfare and care navigation for the Care Navigation department. Supervises clinical and operational activities of the Care Navigation children in custody and related teams. Practices professional social work and promotes advocacy in accordance with the NASW Code of Ethics for Social Work.

Responsibilities

Oversees care coordination and documentation, patient care, staffing, and clinical competencies. Serves as a clinical expert for policies, procedures, documentation, and skills

Delivers performance feedback and evaluations. Assists in the training, development, and coaching of new and existing staff members.

Assists in supervising clinical operations. Explains why clinical and financial management are important to the organization.

Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, representing staff at relevant meetings, and reporting back important information and updates.

Interfaces and manages relationships with both related internal and external stakeholders.

Maintains safety and quality as priorities. Provides auditing and education for safety and quality initiatives. Ensures regulatory compliance and emergency response preparedness.

Analyzes and utilizes data to develop needed quality improvement strategies.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Masters of Social Work, required.

Licensure Requirement: LISW, required. LISW-S preferred (must complete supervisory designation within one year of hire).

Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, required.

Demonstrated organizational and collaborative skills, required.

Leadership and supervisory skills, preferred.

Basic computer skills, with applicable knowledge in Microsoft Suite.

Experience:

3 years experience in pediatric clinical care or case management, required.

1 year experience in leadership, preferred.
