As the Sr. Operation Manager, Food Services, you will manage all food and beverage service operations across all product lines including various bus and boat tours. The position will report to the Senior Director of Food Services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences while always striving to deliver the highest level of culinary and experiential product to our customers across all product lines.

Our rapidly growing portfolio of products provides a variety of popular adventures, including hop-on hop-off bus tours in NYC and London, special events such as Tea Around Town and North Pole Express, sightseeing and event cruises, bike rental and tours, walking tours, and Attraction Pass. We believe that in person collaboration is critical for TopView Group’s continued success, therefore this role will be a full time, on site position at our facility located in Midtown Manhattan. Ability to work weekends and occasional holiday availability is required.

Responsibilities:

Lead all facets of food and beverage services operations across all tour offerings

Ensure quality and timeliness of food service meet and exceed customer expectations

Develop, maintain and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) for each job function

Optimize resource scheduling based on sales projections

Optimize process flows to continually improve cost effectiveness of our offerings

Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives to improve quality, cost and service

Manage contractor relationships with 3rd party vendors including catering services, food & beverage vendors, delivery service providers, staffing agencies etc.

Partner with and manage catering service providers to ensure their quality of food and service meets and exceeds our expectations

Manage right inventory levels of food, beverage, ingredients, supplies and equipment and reorder per established processes

Hire, train, motivate and performance manage team members

Maintain a clean, organized and professional kitchen environment, in compliance with all DOHMH requirements

Manage departmental payroll on a weekly basis

Increase flexibility of employees by developing effective training program for all roles, cross training team members and maintain an accurate cross training matrix for the department

Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs

Collaborate effectively with other teams such as Water Tours, Bus Operations, Marketing etc. to ensure pre-planning and scheduling of themed tours runs smoothly

Partner closely with group Sales to close private and large group events, understand the nuances of each experience and deliver on these expectations

Collaborate with customer service on any food service related issues

Develop and update new cocktails and liquor menus based on seasonal and trend shifts

Ensure each event is set-up to meet or exceed our standards for cleanliness, ambiance, aesthetics and customer requested nuances

Interact with and address any customer feedback

Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and licensing standards

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

Degree in an applicable discipline or equivalent professional experience

10+ years of food service management experience, preferably in high volume hospitality industry, leading team of line staff

Understanding of food safety, preparation and handling regulations

Sound knowledge of process optimization

Strong leadership experience in leading, motivating and performance managing teams of 50+

Strong data analysis skills including but not limited to forecasting, workforce planning, scheduling, resource allocation, financial planning etc.

Able to perform root cause analysis and present logical conclusions

Experience with various productivity, project management and financial suites like Google Workspace, MSOffice, Monday.com, ClickUp.com, SAP, Netsuite etc.

Able to establish priorities and manage workload

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Experience negotiating with vendors on price, quality and payment terms

Familiarity with safety and environmental regulations from agencies like Department of Health, EPA and OSHA

Experience managing a union workforce (preferred)

Experience with managing food service aboard vessels (preferred)

Able to perform physical aspects of the role, including but not limited to regularly lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Salary Range: $95,,000 to $110,000 plus performance metrics based bonus
