Professional Engineer (P.E.)

Job Description

Arrowhead Talent Solutions is helping a client fill Professional Engineer (P.E.) roles in Northeast Ohio. There are a variety of openings for Civil Engineers or Environmental Engineers based on expertise. Ideal candidates will take an active role in environmental restoration, stormwater design, or regulatory compliance support for industrial and municipal activities.

Candidates should be versed in any of the following:

NPDES Stormwater

Interpretation of codes and regulations to assist clients with NPDES permits management.

Development of individual and general EPA NPDES discharge permits

Coordination with government agencies

Utilizing water quality-based models to establish pollutant limitations in NPDES Permits

Evaluation, design, and optimization of stormwater and wastewater treatment systems

Familiarity with stormwater regulations and permitting requirements

Stream/Wetland Restoration and Site Grading

Performing desktop assessments and analysis including watershed hydrology, open channel hydraulics, river and floodplain modelling/permitting

Grading and volumetric calculations

Developing detailed design plans in collaboration with a design team and project management; QA/QC of plan drawings

Development of quantity take-offs and opinions of probable cost

Completing due diligence for engineering projects to ensure planning, development and construction are following all applicable city/state/federal codes and regulations, and according to all acceptable engineering practices.

Water quality modeling and design of treatment systems experience a plus.

Qualifications

A registered Professional Engineer is preferred, but individuals with their EIT certification or a high level of experience will also be considered.

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, chemical engineering or related field.

5+ years of experience in civil or environmental engineering preferred.

Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil engineering-related projects including stormwater and grading.

Demonstrated experience with HEC-RAS; Experience with Hydraflow, PCSWMM, and other hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software a plus.

Experience with site civil design, erosion control and stormwater design.
