Job Summary: Under the direction of the Conference Center Operations Manager the employee performs a variety of tasks associated with the preparation of the City of Granbury facilities for meetings and special events, maintenance of facilities during events, and breakdown of facilities following events.

This position also performs routine custodial duties as needed.

Typical Duties: * Presenting a professional appearance and friendly demeanor to guests and staff * Cleaning of public meeting areas, including vacuuming, windows, restrooms, kitchen area, etc.

with janitorial staff; work with janitorial service to keep public restrooms clean during event times and to maintain a stock of cleaning supplies * Set-up for rooms including tables, chairs, linens, lectern, etc.

* Read and execute Event Order Sheets and diagrams * Reposition, rigging, remove, and re-route program Mega-Lite LED Lighting system proficiently * Set-up of A/V equipment as required for the Event * Ensure that all meeting facilities and buildings are locked and secure after each event conclusion * May perform additional task as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * Valid Texas Driver’s license is required * Basic knowledge of tools used for assembly of furnishings is preferred.

* Ability to effectively communicate with customers, co-workers, and supervisors * Ability to write reports and fill out forms * Ability to interact with tact and diplomacy with the public * Ability to work independently in the absence of specific instructions or supervision * Basic math principles and knowledge of basic inventory practices * Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights and weekends, as scheduled Physical Requirements: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 100 pounds). Ability to lift, stand, push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist while moving furnishings, equipment and other items from one location to another and in performance of duties.

Ability to climb a step stool or ladder and lift to perform work above head level.

Dexterity with fingers and hands required to handle items and to operate audio/video and other equipment.

Work Environment: Most duties are performed in an indoor, climate controlled environment., however some duties require work outdoors in all types of weather.

Some duties require the handling of certain chemicals and cleaning agents commonly found in households or commonly used in janitorial duties.

Work may be subject to time pressures, frequent changes in tasks, working closely with others as a part of a team, working alone 50% or more of the time, performing multiple tasks simultaneously, and dealing directly with customers.
