NOW HIRING: Millerbernd Manufacturing is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team! This role is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing is carried out (and the end product is produced) in the most time-efficient and cost-effective way while still maintaining overall product quality. This is an onsite role based in Winsted, Minnesota.

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will:

Respond to production problems and escalations where repeat failures or large business impacts are occurring

Takes on initiatives to solve challenges without a lot of direction

Maximize efficiency by analyzing layout of equipment, workflow, assembly methods and workforce utilization in multiple areas

Determine the parts, equipment, and tools needed in order to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specifications utilizing advanced technical abilities

Work on projects with significant complexity

Leads projects impacting singular or multiple teams. Advanced planning required for task sequencing

Identify areas of Continuous Improvement (CI) work

Performs moderate to advanced engineering calculations

May do equipment proof of concepts and coordinate installations

Role Qualifications as a Manufacturing Engineer:

Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3 years of experience, or equivalent, and 8 or more years of experience in a manufacturing setting. Other combinations of formal training and experience will be considered

Knows and applies advanced concepts and techniques of a manufacturing engineer

Knows and applies tools to perform Root Cause Corrective Action analysis.

Computer literate; particularly in word processing, spreadsheet, email

Read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards

Proficient knowledge in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings

Read and interpret customer specifications and industry standards

Writes internal manufacturing routings

Ability to solve practical problems and make decisions

Effective and appropriate verbal and written communication skills, in English
