To support the customers in our IMEA (India and Middle-East) market, Ecolab has established a state-of-the-art RDE center in Pune to primarily cater the Industrial Heavy customers like Refineries, Mining, Power, PMI etc in IMEA. The RDE center is focused on developing and deploying technologies in the water treatment technologies, customer process improvement and development of automation tools like controller and dosing unit, and data-driven algorithms to predict and prevent customer problems and improve the productivity and efficiency of operations.

Duties and responsibilities

Following are the some of the key duties and responsibilities for this position

Manage multiple projects and program across multiple Industrial divisions and drive innovation pipeline for the IMEA market

Translate the market needs from customer and marketing team and scope out the projects in collaboration with RDE research team members - Drive innovation with key customers

Identify a potential fit for these problems from the available technologies by the Global RDE team

Collaborate with Global RDE, Global Marketing and regional marketing team and become a single point of contact for technology development/deployment in IMEA market for assigned projects/programs. In collaboration with regional/global marketing, RDE research, Regulatory, SC and IP teams

Deploy the technologies in IMEA via conducting technical trial and marketing trials

Perform value calculations of the technology to prove its techno-commercial viability for the IMEA market

Obtain Regulatory, Supply Chain approvals to deploy the technologies in the IMEA region

Work with Global IP team, to get the freedom to operate the technologies in the IMEA regions

Actively participate in Global Innovation forums to provide the regional needs and highlight challenges and opportunities of the IMEA region, challenge the status quo and the pipeline business impact to drive highest growth potential

Be an advocate for the region for selected segment during Global meetings/forums

Influence RDE peers (without any authority), marketing leads and ITCs to make decision which will result into moving the Innovation ahead

Come up with solutions for regional needs, articulate and present the ideas to solve these needs in the Global forums and convert it into Phase and Gate project

Follow all the safety policies in office and during the customer site visits

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

Masters/PhD degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering with +15/10 years of Industrial experience

Extremely strong communicator and orator with strong ability to prepare impactful presentations

Experience of working in regional and Global settings

Experience of working either on water treatment technology/digital technologies/mining applications/petrochemicals and refinery applications would be advantageous.

Highly experience in operating Microsoft office, word, power point (must) and excel

Familiar with digital vocabulary like Cloud computing, data analytics and others (domain knowledge is not required in it)

A good team player with professional attitude at work is vital

A strategic thinker with strong domain expertise in Industrial sector

Able to handle the pressure situation well

Candidate should be very punctual and should NOT shy away from responsibilities

Comfortable to work in multi-cultural environment, multiple time-zones and understand the Global working environment well

Working conditions

This job requires working in a word class research facility in Pune, India.

Travel

Customer visits in IMEA and visiting RDE Head offices in the globe as needed (10-30% of total time)
