Job Description

"Luggers" are the most important front-line folks of our business. They are the face of the company to our valued customers. This is MORE than a physical labor or driving position. This position entails a huge customer service component.

Tipping is customary in our industry and can add $5 to $10 per hour to a Luggers wages. We offer a 401(k) to employees with a 4% match and an annual cash bonus based on company performance. Hourly wages vary between $13 to $18 plus cash tips that are typically add $5 to $10 to a Luggers wages.

Luggers of Wilmington is the caring, eco-friendly alternative to traditional junk removal and moving services in the Cape Fear region. Our mission is to enhance lives, our community, and the environment through our commitment to donating, recycling, and supporting our local charities.

The amount of household and commercial waste that ends up in landfills on a daily basis is astronomical. We believe that a lot of this is avoidable, and with just a little attention to detail - and a lot of love for our planet, we can help reverse this growing problem.

Job Logistics

The Junkluggers & Luggers Moving of Wilmington's Hours of Operation: Weekday & Weekend Shifts Available! (Must be flexible with your schedule, and while hours may vary week to week, this position is best designed to be your main focus)

Ability to lift 50 - 100 pounds continuously

Familiar with driving/navigating the Cape Fear region.

Any Sales/Customer Service Experience is a PLUS!

Driving Requirements

Valid drivers license is REQUIRED for this particular position.

CDL License is NOT required for this position.

For insurance purposes, drivers must be a minimum age of 21 years old.

2-3 years of violation-free and accident-free driving is required for all company drivers.

About You:

Applicant must be a friendly, highly motivated, and able to communicate effectively with our valued customers. You must also be physically fit and able to lift substantial weight. Added bonus if you have experience driving a small truck and moving furniture/heavy items in close corridors.

This is a DRIVING POSITION, so the applicant must meet all company's insurance requirements in order to be considered for this position. CDL NOT REQUIRED.

Applicant should be an energetic, well-organized, creative problem solver and goal-oriented team player who loves a challenging and fun environment.

This is NOT an office position, so the applicant should enjoy working in the field and from a truck through out the day.
