Quality Inspector (Machine Shop)

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Review and sign engineering drawings and routers in manufacturing, planning and quality planning before issue to make sure customer specifications are correct

First article inspection

Complete paperwork

Review non-conformance reports and coordinate corrective/preventive actions

Coordinate calibration system for measuring equipment, gages, and fixtures

Standard quality control measuring devices: verniers, micrometers, height gages

Qualifications:

Must have blueprint reading skills

Ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings, work instructions and engineering specifications

Understanding of manufacturing specifications

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals

Good math skills including calculating figures and amounts such as: discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages,

Able to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry

Hours:

Monday through Friday – 7am to 3:30pm
