Job Description
MAU is hiring an Injection Molding Technician at our client in North Charleston, SC. As an Injection Molding Technician, you will set up, operate, and process, maintain, monitor, and control injection molding equipment including resin drying and conveying, injection molding machines, hot runners and molds, fluid temperature control systems, and robot/automation.

High school diploma or GED
10+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in the following areas: crane operation, compressed air/pneumatic actuators and systems, electro-mechanical controls, robotics, optical sensor systems, resin drying, molds, fluid thermal control systems, hot runners and injection molding machines
5+ years proven track record in injection moldingGeneral Requirements
Demonstrated ability to support and actively participate in event response activities in highly automated 24/7 production settings
Ability to document problems and works to bring them rapidly to solutionPreferred Requirements
AAS degree in related field; OR
Equivalent military training or industrial training; OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in an FDA regulated environment (medical, pharmaceutical, food)
Ability and experience with automated records systems such as SPC, MES, EWM, SAP
Proficiency in reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and other technical documents
Experience in planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results and revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan
Computer literacyEssential Functions
Operate and maintain injection molding/automation equipment to achieve production goals
Lead execution of production schedule to achieve production goals
Maintain controlled areas and environmental monitoring in injection molding production
Lead and actively participate in production event response
Lead review and author SOP’s and other documents, as required
Assist during equipment maintenance, including mold and robot end of arm and IMM restoration, predictive and preventative maintenance
Ensure all event response and production operations activities are correctly documented in SAP
Lead the growth and development of the device assembly process team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise as well as learning new systems
Lead teams in Systematic Problem-Solving tools to establish Root Cause Analysis and resolve equipment issues
Partner with Process Owners on practical changes or improvements to equipment and department work practices
Record and review production data and activities per SHL work instructions
Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
Support and implement system/equipment reliability improvement projects

Ability to move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds within the facility using various body positions
Routinely operate and inspect manufacturing equipment using hands
Ability to stand for up to a 12-hour shift
Corrected vision to 20/30
Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to service equipment
Ability to work atop elevated positions
Occasionally works around odorous and/or hazardous materials; may be required to wear latex gloves
Occasionally position self within confined spaces for inspection, repair, and maintenance of equipment
Ability to work in loud noise environments with hearing protection
Ability to attain clean room gowning certification and work with hazardous materials, including sanitates
Frequent bending, stooping, and prolonged working overhead
