AZ Travel Pharmacist with EPIC training

Job Description

Minimum 1+ years pharmacy experience required.

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traveling Pharmacist for a 13-week contract in Yuma, Arizona. This position offers a decentralized role, involving attendance at codes and requiring expertise in IV pharmacy and pounding. The ideal candidate should have a solid background in hospital pharmacy, with a particular focus on a similar-sized facility (250 census). EPIC knowledge is essential for success in this role, along with experience in Vanco AUC dosing.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Every other weekend, 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - Midnight)

Responsibilities:

- Decentralized pharmacy responsibilities, including attending codes

- IV pharmacy and pounding duties

- Experience with Vanco AUC dosing

- Utilization of EMR systems: EPIC, Lexip, Baxter IQ

- Collaborate with clinical manager during 2nd shift

- Familiarity with medication dispensing systems: Omnicell, Central pharm robot, carousel, Omnicell XT cabinets, Omnicell Controlled Substance cabinet

Qualifications:

- Active Arizona Pharmacist license

- Minimum 2 years of true hospital pharmacy experience in a facility of similar size (250 census)

- Expertise in IV pharmacy and pounding

- Familiarity with EMR systems: EPIC, Lexip, Baxter IQ

- Knowledge of medication dispensing systems: Omnicell, Central pharm robot, carousel, Omnicell XT cabinets, Omnicell Controlled Substance cabinet
