Accounting Manager

Job Description

We're seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee financial operations for our client's commercial real estate development projects. Qualified candidates will collaborate with various departments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain financial pro-formas for projects.

Monitor vendor contracts and process invoices.

Administer tenant allowance payments and compile financial reports.

Assist with audits and delegate tasks to the accounting team.

Manage and train staff.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. CPA a plus.

Minimum 6+ years of professional accounting experience.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERPs like Yardi.

Ability to manage deadlines and multitask effectively.

Flexible, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with real estate development accounting.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 depending on experience

Hours: 40 hour workweek typical, with some overtime likely during month-end

Location: Washington, DC - hybrid three days per week in-office and two days remote

Employment Type: Full-time direct hire/permanent
