The global supply intern is responsible for the sourcing, manufacturing development execution, qualification and production readiness of Eos raw materials and outside services. Part of Eos’ core strategy is the creation and development of a world-class supply chain supporting American innovation and materials and as such, the management of the supply chain is required to be innovative, specialized and cost leading.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Cross functional support: with Eos’ industrial design, product development and operations teams

2. Technology Development Management: evaluation and development of new technologies using new materials and processes.

3. Supply chain management: identification, development, negotiation, and management of developing materials suppliers. There is a strong US supply base, which requires travel.

4. Build Support: on site management of materials and final assembly partners to manage the development builds, risk mitigation and ramp

5. Cost: development, negotiation and execution of a part and assembly cost strategy. An understanding of materials manufacturing processes/ techniques is important to better evaluate supplier capabilities and opportunities.

6. On-time-delivery: schedule, capacity, and supply planning to meet Eos production demand

7. Risk Mitigation: evaluation of technical and business risks using data-based analysis and developing sound risk mitigation alternatives

8. Program Management: the ability to manage all the above tasks and personnel resources

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Third Year Bachelor Degree Student

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office Environment - Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.

May be required to exert up to __50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Factory - The worker may be subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, vibration, moving vehicles, electrical current, exposure to temperature changes or exposure to chemicals. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, odors, dust, mists, and gases. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes

Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and lab coats.

May be required to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
