Supply Planning Specialists play one of the most visible and critical roles in ensuring our company has the right products, at the right places, at the right times. Through a thorough understanding of supply chain dynamics, you will work to optimize our inventory levels at all locations around the globe, ensuring our customers have access to the products they need.
Responsibilities:
Planning/Supplier Relationships
PO creation and management in our ERP system.
Ensure accurate pricing from PO placement to shipment
Execute purchase order adjustments based upon Supply Planner inputs and other crucial supply planning criteria (current inventory levels, vendor capacity, minimums, and buy readiness)
Monitors weekly shipment report from suppliers and escalates as necessary
Assists in data collection for monthly SIOP review
Completes inbound requests from receiving team
Resolves invoicing discrepancies between vendors and YETI
Manage supplier execution in our business systems
Analysis and Reporting
Reviews exceptions and organizes data to review with Planner or Supply Planning Manager to resolve
Prepares data and material for weekly meetings with Supply Planner
Supplements data and material for monthly SIOP meetings
Compiles clear and concise recaps of information on an ad-hoc basis
Responsible for running weekly and ad-hoc reporting for Supply Planning team
Communication
Contributes to weekly planning meetings with Procurement/Vendors/Logistics
Contributes to Planning team meetings
Escalates exceptions identified that result in supply shortages or gaps to Supply Planning
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
Highlight issues and opportunities to drive improved supply chain operational performance and achieve business objectives
Qualifications and Attributes:
Fluent in verbal and written English
Self-starter who creates and implements process improvements as the business evolves
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret and story tell
Energetic, self-motivated, positive attitude and with the desire to drive improvements
Extremely detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with a high level of accuracy
Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and communications skills
Experience navigating high levels of ambiguity and complexity
Proficiency in Excel required
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Engineering, Math, Finance or comparable field
At least 2 years of relative experience
