What We Do:

OhioMHAS operates regional psychiatric hospitals in six locations across the state that operate 365/24/7. Our specialized facilities provide short-term, intensive treatment to patients in both inpatient and community-supported environments. We also deliver comprehensive care to patients committed through the criminal justice system.

Salary Information:

$2,000.00 New Hire Sign on Bonus, $1,000.00 paid at 120 days, $1000.00 paid at 365 days. No contract or length of terms

$31.86 per hour with the first increase in 180 days to $33.40

Additional $1.25 per hour shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift

Additional Shift Supplements available per hour for hours worked 2:30 pm – 7:00 am

Additional hourly retention supplements available for education and certifications up to 5%

Annual increases each year with an additional longevity supplement after 5 years of service

The potential for annual Cost of Living Adjustments is based on contractual agreements, and are not guaranteed.

Afternoon and evening shifts available, weekend rotation

The Job Opportunity and Duties:

What you will do:

Serve in a fundamental role as an interdisciplinary treatment team member for psychiatric patients creating and executing treatment plans

Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, & response to medication

As charge nurse, initiate and direct psychiatric and nursing care for patients and provide support for nursing staff while promoting a positive and safe environment for recovery

Contributes vital input on records, plans, and reports

Facilitate patient group activities

You Also Need to Know:

Must be able to complete a 4 week (business days Monday-Friday) full time orientation

May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior

Training and development required to remain in the classification after employment

Biennial renewal of licensure as registered nurse
