Marzetti Company is looking for someone to support the security, stability, and integrity of the Company’s OT Networks. The OT Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining industrial control system networks. This includes configuring and troubleshooting network devices, such as switches, routers, and firewalls, as well as monitoring network performance and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of industrial control systems, network protocols, and cybersecurity best practices.

Responsibilities

Design and deploy company’s OT network infrastructure following approved architecture

Collaborate with the Project Managers, Network Engineers and SCADA Engineers, as the Network Engineering subject management expert (SME) in the scoping, design and development of OT Network technology

Collaborate with management and team members, assessing network capacity, planning, and configuration needs to develop optimum solutions working toward shared goals.

Implement appropriate network segmentation on the OT network to isolate critical assets and reduce the attack surface.

Manage and troubleshoot LAN/VLAN/Firewall issues on the OT Network

Practice network asset management including the creation and maintenance of network component inventory and documentation as it relates to technical specifications information, network configuration, network mapping, processes, and their related service management records, including incidents, problems, and changes.

Ensure network availability and reliability by implementing backup and recovery procedures and regular maintenance and updates.

Monitor network performance and security using various tools and technologies, such as Claroty, Dragos, SNMP, NetFlow, and syslog, and report any issues or incidents to management and stakeholders.

Implement and enforce network security policies and standards, such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems, and conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.

Provide technical support and guidance to end users and other network engineers and participate in training and knowledge sharing activities.

Monitor the latest trends and best practices for industrial control system network technologies, security methods and recommend improvements for OT network system designs.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of networking concepts protocols, including OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP.

Strong knowledge of the Purdue Model for ICS Security

Experience with OT network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

Strong knowledge of cyber security concepts in the OT network space

Familiarity with network management tools and technologies, such as Claroty, Dragos, SNMP, NetFlow, and syslog.

Familiarity with cloud technology.

Strong knowledge of firewall technologies for the OT Network, Fortinet & Palo Alto preferred

Strong knowledge of switch manufacturers for OT Network such as Stratix, Cisco, and Meraki preferred.

Strong knowledge of OT / SCADA systems and their interaction within an OT infrastructure environment. Such as Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and SCADA Platforms and historization highly desired.

Knowledge of industrial control systems and protocols, such as SCADA, Modbus, and DNP3.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, management, and other stakeholders.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Certifications in network engineering, such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE, are preferred.

6+ years' experience in network technology infrastructure, including engineering, support, design, implementation, and operations. Experience configuring and maintaining networking hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, and supporting, deploying, and engineering IT/OT networks.
