GLG is currently seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Engineering team. The team builds and supports our global network infrastructure spanning 19 offices worldwide and in the cloud. Our network team is part of our broader Core Engineering team and is expected to regularly collaborate with IT, DevOps, and Security teams. The successful candidate will have a proven history of deep Cisco or Palo Alto Network Experience, exceptional command of networking concepts, significant experience leveraging security concepts, strong communication, and a commitment to learning and growth. Key Responsibilities
Design, install, and maintain robust and resilient networking infrastructure
Design, setup, and maintain a robust network monitoring system
Act as the technical interface with external vendors
Create and maintain technical documentation of GLG’s network infrastructure
Develop risk management and mitigation strategies with a focus on meeting ISO 27001 standards
Communicate and collaborate effectively across GLG’s IT and Core Engineering teams
Manage and track physical networking assets throughout our global offices
On occasion, travel to GLG Offices to support network infrastructure
Conduct new office buildout planning and equipment installation
Qualifications
6+ years of relevant Cisco/Palo Alto Network support, engineering, and administration
Experience with implementation and support of networking technologies including VLANs, OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP, MPLS, Fortinet, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco firewalls routers and switches, and particularly Firepower OS and management tools
Deep understanding of layer 2/layer 3 networking details, like ARP, MAC Address Tables, VRFs, VXlan, VTP, trunking, and port-aggregation
Proven ability to design, plan and communicate complex networking projects
Experience with common network components including routers, switches, and firewalls
Familiarity with Voice over IP (VoIP) solutions and related protocols like SIP
Deep understanding of common network concepts (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SDN, VTC)
Proven understanding of secure networking technologies like IPSec, VPN, TLS, and certificate management
Proven technical troubleshooting and performance tuning experience
Proven experience setting up hybrid network environments, including WAN, LAN, WiFi networks, and software defined networks, to join on-prem and cloud environments
Experience with network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, Logic Monitor, Cisco DNA, or Palo Alto Panorama
Experience managing ISP vendor relationships, and troubleshooting, and debugging ISP outages and issues

Compensation: GLG is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Actual compensation is based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. Certain roles may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
The anticipated hiring base salary range for this role is:
$128,100—$147,766 USD
