What you will do as our Chief Human Resources Officer:

The Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will serve as the employee advocate for Red Cell Partners and our incubations. You will be the go-to for information on health and wellness along with the first line of communication for personnel changes or conflicts. You will also work on projects related our benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, leave and attendance tracking, and employee records. You will communicate organizational policies and programs and ensure labor law and regulatory compliance.

This is a full-time role. Ideally, the CHRO would work out of our office 3-4 days per week in Tysons, VA, but we are open to remote working as well. You will join the leadership team reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer.

Responsibilities:

Act as the conduit between the executive leadership team and the rest of the company suggesting HR strategy and execution.

Provide broad HR support, including being the point of contact for all Insperity (HR benefits solution) questions and guidance on HR practices.

Bring to the table HR guidance along with the ability to handle situations with emotional intelligence, confidentiality, and tact.

Work with legal and oversee recruiting on HR compliance and immigration law for new talent.

Facilitate the yearly employee performance review process, adding improvements with each iteration.

Stay updated on HR best practices, employment laws, and industry trends to ensure compliance and provide recommendations for process improvements for a firm with employees in all 50 states and internationally.

Detail oriented, organized, and able to juggle multiple assignments with varying deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation. Maintains the integrity, organization, and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Arbiter for anything an employee may need regarding workplace comfortability, performance, and or wellness.

Point of contact for changes in personnel while creating workplace policies which encourage low turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

10 years of HR related experience.

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field preferred.

SHRM certification or similar continuing education in the HR field.

Solid understanding of HR principles, practices, employment and state tax laws.

Preferred Experience:

Master's degree in organizational psychology, management, or human relations.

Work with start-ups, venture studios, venture capital, and/or companies that work with the DoD.

Experience with a scaling organization, we are adding 10 people per quarter across leadership to individual contributors.

Experience with yearly workforce planning and strategy and/or people analytics.
