Overview
The role will lead a team of data engineers from Source Acquisition to Data Logic and Modeling, to Development Operations. This role works cross functionally within the Enterprise Data & Analytics Team, specifically collaborating with Business Intelligence, Data Governance, and Project Management. In addition, they are cross-functional partners across the other IT Verticals of Enterprise Systems (Finance, Retail, Digital, HR, Legal) and Supply Chain Technologies (Planning, Distribution, and Logistics). As a senior leader, you will be expected to be capable of managing multiple roadmaps (technology and business) where the exact priorities may not be defined. You will be looked to influence and set direction for the team and areas they support. This role’s focus is to enable Crocs, Inc. to make quick, data-driven decisions that propel the business forward.
What You'll Do
Responsible for overall system availability and communication to global teams during times of outage
Deploy and manage monitoring tools that will ensure the timeliness, completeness and accuracy of all data pipelines
Oversee daily system loads and control execution to ensure data integrity and alignment with other systems
Ensure system patching is kept up to date and drives upgrade process based on corporate cadence
Explore opportunities to improve system performance
Architect and collaborate with the data engineers on deploying new source acquisition pipelines
Ensure stability and performance of the existing pipelines in accordance with internal SLA’s
Guide the data engineering team through the enhancements of the existing data flows for source acquisition
Stay abreast on tool roadmap to identify opportunities and risks to current landscape
Lead engineering best practices, including test-driven development, agile management, and continuous integration pipelines
Craft technical documentation, including readme files, coding comments, and technical documents and provides guidance in this regard to the team
Represent data engineering in the conversations with the Crocs business community and/or the front-end analytics team and support these teams in forming a technical solution for new data developments or enhancements of the existing flows
Provide advice and guidance to the functional teams on best-in-class technical solutions

What You'll Bring to the Table
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent technical degree
10+ years’ experience in a similar role
3+ years’ experience managing/leading an Engineering Team is required
Experience in the Business Intelligence space, experience with Power BI is a plus
Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms
Knowledge of methods for statistical inference (e.g. regression, experimental design, significance testing)
Experience with Snowflake, DataBricks, Apache Airflow, and reporting technologies such as Power BI
Excellent Written and Verbal Communication / Excellent Project and Program Management
Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms
Experience working in Azure, Azure Data Factory
Experience designing data models following Kimbal Dimensional Modeling best practices
Proficiency in SQL required
Experience utilizing Git version control in a data environment
Experience with continuous integration and deployment through Azure DevOps
Experience leading a team in an Agile environment
Experience working with SAP and Salesforce is a plus
Knowledge of a scripting language (Python, R, etc.) preferred
Experience using Spark and Kafka for data streaming preferred

Salary or Pay Range: $170,000-$195,000

Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities.
