Venture Global LNG (“Venture Global”) is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas. The Company’s Louisiana-based export projects service the global demand for North American natural gas and support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies. Using reliable, proven technology in an innovative plant design configuration, Venture Global’s modular, mid-scale plant design will replace traditional designs as it allows for the same efficiency and operational reliability at significantly lower capital cost.

We are seeking an experienced leader to join us as a Director, Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) Contract Manager within the overall contract management function in base out of Venture Global’s Arlington, VA headquarters. This person is responsible and accountable for the contract setup, negotiations, and facilitation of all internal coordination and alignment for execution while managing the contract through completion at the direction of the SVP OFE for Venture Global LNG.

Responsibilities:

Manage recruiting, training and supervising a team of Contract Coordinators who are responsible for the administration of all OFE contracts.

Support the development of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage all OFE contracts.

Ensure the execution of company and OFE strategies to provide consistent and high-quality value delivery.

Implement best practices in strategic commercial objectives.

Interface with all stakeholders related to the pre and post award of OFE contracts and ensure compliance with corporate and project requirements.

Participate in rigorous and objective contract negotiations with key internal stakeholders including, Legal, Insurance, Finance and Projects.

Identify commercial and schedule risks associated with new contracts and changes.

Identify areas for improvement to continually drive performance and business results.

Maintain strong working relationships with strategic partners to assure cost, quality, and delivery targets are met.

Draft formal communications during life cycle management to ensure contract requirements are met.

Advise the project team on matters of contract compliance, commercial risk, schedule risk throughout the post award period.

Devise strategies for resolving potential claims, and communicate them to the proper stakeholders within the organization.

Attend meetings with contractors and identify any potential claim risks.

Review and consolidate all contract documentation prior to its review and approval by other stakeholders.

Develop and own the process and procedures for subcontract oversight when required.

Develop and own the process and procedures for contract completion through warranty.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, engineering or related discipline; MBA desired.

Minimum of ten years supply chain experience in the oil and gas industry; Experience in LNG liquefaction facilities highly preferred

Skills:

Ability to build relationships and engage with multiple stakeholders across many disciplines within the organization.

Ability to manage and oversee the pre-award processes from initial contract request through execution of the final agreement for compliance with approved procedures.

Demonstrated ability to negotiate commercial terms with suppliers with limited Legal support.

Ability to manage all post-award activities including, review of all incoming correspondence, change order proposals, internal auditing, risk assessments, invoice queries, and contract closeout.

Demonstrated ability to build and manage supplier relationships and long-term partnerships.

Strong knowledge of contracting practices and processes.

Ability to identify, monitor and manage potential claims.

Ability to effectively lead, delegate and motivate.

Ability to develop and implement internal auditing processes.

Self-starter with ability to work strategically under little direction; Ability to focus on meeting/exceeding performance parameters.
