Position: Project Executive
Reports to: Chief Construction Officer
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary Range: $175,000 - $225,000
We take into consideration a number of factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates. The Superior Group also has financial support for mid- and senior-level candidates who require relocation.
The Superior Group is looking for a Project Executive to help drive our electrical construction projects forward. The Project Executive is the organization’s most senior leader on our jobsites and is responsible for developing, managing, and growing major projects. We rely on you to lead Project Operations personnel, achieve project KPIs, mitigate risk, resolve tough challenges, and work directly with clients, trade partners, and TSG executives.
The position directly reports to the VP, Project Operations, serves as a member of TSG’s Project Operations team, and interacts regularly with TSG executives to keep leaders informed on project status, risks, opportunities, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the entire lifecycle of one or several major projects and serve as each project’s key decisionmaker
Spearhead project kick-off and alignment of departments across TSG, including estimating, finance, technology, engineering, VDC, and prefabrication
Oversee the financial performance and risk management of each project
Report regularly to the Executive Team on the health of the projects in your portfolio
Continually mitigate and manage project risk, and elevate concerns – and solutions – quickly to TSG executives
Serve as a strategic partner to clients, nurturing relationships and finding opportunities to take on new work
Represent TSG in principal meetings with clients and subcontractors
Work closely with the SPM, PM, and Superintendent on resolving project challenges
Serve as a senior leader for the jobsite, and drive the professional development of project team members
Uphold a high degree of safety on our work across the jobsite

You’re a leader and are effective at interfacing with customers and executives
You’re skilled in motivating and mentoring junior colleagues
Your Expertise
You have 15+ years of experience in commercial project management, including experience on large scale, complex commercial projects
You earned your Construction Management degree, Engineering degree, Construction Management
Program certificate, or another related degree
You’re experienced with design-build, hard bid, and negotiated projects around $20M+
You’re comfortable with presenting during business pitches, company meetings, and industry events
You’re familiar with crisis management and rapid response
You have extensive knowledge in construction management and accounting software
You are knowledgeable in industry codes, standards, requirements, and methods
