Butterblock is an artisan bakery that supplies to over 25 local cafes in Alberta. We specialize in croissants in any forms and flavours. We explore hard into improving by the day, either in speed or up keeping quality! We recently opened up a café where we are constantly running low on pastries, we need help to produce more and bring more surprises, new ideas to our CALGARY FOODIES!

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders

• Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies

• Bake mixed dough and batters

• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food

• Prepare special orders

• Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff

• Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods

• Draw up production schedules

• Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards

• Inspect kitchen and food service areas

• Operate machinery

• Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances

Daily duties

• Responsible for baking for 10-15 cafes, keeping with quality

• Maintaining stock levels for our wholesale café, deliveries, online shop and our very own café
