JOB POSITION - EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be selling moving and storage solutions both business to consumer as well as business to business. This role is primarily new business development with warm B2C leads provided and some B2B warm leads provided. This is a newly created position and will be reporting directly to the President of the company. The base salary is $65,000 - $80,000 plus commissions.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

• $65,000 to $80,000 Base Salary, plus commission

• OTE in the first year is $75,000 - 85,000

OFFICE LOCATION & SALES TERRITORY:

• Head Office - Toronto Ontario

• Working from the office 5 days a week with client site visits required

• The sales territory is the Greater Toronto Area

• Full-time - Monday to Friday

EXPERIENCE, BACKGROUND & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years of sales experience in moving and storage, or a related industry

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

• Excel - Basic

• PowerPoint - Basic

• MS Word - Intermediate

• Salesforce.com CRM - Basic

• Average project size is $3500

• Average revenue by customer $50,000+

TYPICAL DAY & DUTIES:

• Develop profitable new business through personal contacts & networking with our COD customers and prospecting corporate accounts

• Answer incoming telephone sales, Google, and website lead enquiries.

• Schedule pre-move surveys: Discuss and advise customers on the pack and move process, transportation methods, routing and transit times; Discuss and advise customers on transit protection/marine insurance benefits, coverage and exclusions.

• Responsible for the pricing of all estimates.

• Write proposals for each customer including accurate inventories, photographs instructions, and pricing information.

• Identify potential customers, organizations, accounts, and markets, develop new business, and cultivate existing relationships using sales activities including Research, Prospecting, Telephone & Electronic Communications, Outside Sales Calls, Site Inspections, Trade Shows, and Networking Events, all to achieve the assigned revenue goal.

• Understand the customer’s needs, budget and historical spend, along with financial goals and impact to our client and evaluate business opportunities to determine whether such opportunities should be pursued by our client.

• Develop and maintain a file and trace system in Moveware to ensure all sales call activity is

defined, recorded, traced, and updated in an organized manner.

• Local community involvement via approved memberships in organizations, community service,

and networking events.

• Understand and interpret market conditions, trends, and competition by analyzing data, drawing conclusion on the data, and making decisions and recommendations for improvement of revenues.

• Write proposals for each customer including accurate inventories, photograph instructions, and pricing information.

• Assist in the preparation of tenders and bids.

• Preparation of corporate presentations

LEADS:

• 50% Prospecting/Cold Calling

• 50% following up on warm Leads

OVERNIGHT TRAVEL:

• Less than 10%

SUPPORT & TRAINING:

• Job Shadowing

• Mentoring

• 1 -2 weeks of sales training

• 1 - 2 weeks of technical training

• Within 2 - 3 weeks you selling to clients
