Part-time Household Assistant

Looking for a part-time household assistant to support a full-time household manager at a home in Berkeley. You’ll be reporting to and supporting the household manager, partnering with them on a set of recurring tasks and ad hoc errands. This role requires someone with their own car who can be consistently available at set times each week, 1-2 hours/day. Ideal candidates may also have flexibility outside of these blocks to help with one-off errands.

Regular responsibilities include:

Caring for indoor plants and garden work

Checking mail

Light kitchen cleaning

Late afternoon dog walks M/W/F

Dog daycare evening pickup Tu/Th (Berkeley)

Support with event prep

Package pick up or return

Light grocery shopping

Other misc tasks & errands as needed

Requirements:

Valid drivers license

Personal car

Fluent in English

Conscientious and reliable

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Preferences

Ability to come Monday-Friday between 3pm-5pm

Enjoys being around dogs

Flexible schedule

The role is 10 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional hours based on need and performance. Compensation is $30 per hour and we provide gas reimbursement for job-related car mileage.
