Independent expert advice in the Application of Basalt Powder

Objective:

To assess the potential demand for basalt powder in Europe as a replacement or supplement to conventional fertilizers, and an instrument for reduction of the carbon footprint in agriculture.

Main responsibilities:

Analyze the existing and potential markets for application of basalt powder in Europe, focusing on its use as:

i) substitute or supplement to conventional fertilizers, and

ii) instrument for reduction of the carbon footprint in agriculture.

Study and estimate the potential demand for basalt powder in the specified segments in Europe.

Support the analysis with comparison of basalt powder with traditional fertilizers in terms of:

i) areas of application (substitutability),

ii) price competitiveness,

iii) efficiency,

iv) environmental friendliness.

Requirements:

Education in agronomy, chemistry, or a related field.

At least 3 years of experience in agriculture.

Experience working with basalt powder or similar products in agriculture.

Experience in research projects or consulting in fertilizer market in Europe.

Excellent analytical and research skills.

Ability to work with people and communicate information.

English language proficiency.

Conditions:

Independent expert consultation under subcontract agreement with fixed fee.

Remote work.

Deliverable: Word or Power Point document with presentation of work and Excel with estimates performed

Communication: e-mails plus a couple of video calls with project stakeholders for discussion of details of work performed
