Roles and responsibilities

Develop and implement a comprehensive spare parts management strategy to meet production requirements.

Maintain accurate records of spare parts inventory levels, usage, and reorder points.

Collaborate with the production team to identify critical spare parts and maintain optimal stock levels.

Source and procure spare parts from approved suppliers, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.

Coordinate with vendors to negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.

Conduct regular audits and inspections of spare parts inventory to identify discrepancies and potential issues.

Plan and oversee the distribution of spare parts to the appropriate departments.

Monitor equipment performance and reliability, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in spare parts management.

Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve issues related to spare parts availability.

Keep abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in spare parts management.

Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.

Conduct regular inspections, diagnose issues, and coordinate repairs to ensure continuous and efficient operations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and equipment history.

Educational requirement

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Proven experience in spare parts management within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the pipe manufacturing industry.

Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and machinery.

Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Effective communication and negotiation skills.

Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure.

5 years of proven experience in technical maintenance management within a manufacturing setting, preferably in the pipe manufacturing industry.

Strong technical expertise in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.

Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Solid understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards in a manufacturing environment.
