Responsible for providing direct support to People/Persons that reside in CMS, Inc. group homes.
Position responsibilities:
· Provide support to each individual in the following ways (as needed): meal preparation, housekeeping, changing clothes, bathing, active treatment/assist with achieving specific goals, etc.
· Basic health, safety and supervision of People/Persons take priority over all other responsibilities at all times.
· Implement Plans effectively to address individual needs.
· Interact, and communicate positively with People/Persons and treat them with dignity and respect at all times
· Ability to work as a team; display a positive, flexible, and cooperative attitude towards People/Persons, coworkers and supervisors.
· Report or communicate all information pertinent to the continuity of care of the People/Persons to immediate supervisor.
· Effectively and legibly complete required documentation.
· Comply with all CMS and DDS regulations and policies and attend all CMS and DDS required meetings and training.
· Other duties as assigned.
Essential skills and experience:
· High School Diploma/GED
· Physical/Criminal Background Check
· CPR/First Aide
· 18 years of age, or older
· Valid Driver License
· Completion of Phase 1,Phase 3 and Phase 2 Orientation training.
Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination Status
Nonessential skills and experience:
· Healthcare experience
· Experience working with People/Persons with Intellectual Disabilities.
· HHA/MA/CNA/TME certification
· Sign Language
