Connectivity Tech Solutions is seeking to add Field Service and Data Center Technicians to our ProServe team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology, possess strong problem-solving abilities, and have a keen eye for detail. As a CTS Telecom Field Technician, you will work on cutting-edge technologies, be a key member in configuring and supporting LAN, WAN and MAN networks, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our telecommunications systems. Our Professional Services team seeks a personable, self-starter, Field Service Technician to deliver on our core values of “Driving Digital Transformation forward with Excellence” by delivering an exceptional customer service experience. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate that has experience in various commercial, office, retail and data center locations, with ISP, network and structured cabling experience.

Location: Remote, USA

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Provide exceptional service and customer support during field visits or dispatches.

Manage all on-site installations, changes, configurations, testing, repairs and maintenance of network.

Identify and troubleshoot problems while quickly resolving and restoring issues with network equipment and circuits.

Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment.

Extensive experience with fiber optic cabling and wiring

Collaborates with systems engineering and network services NOC to restore service and identify problems.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, and adapt to changing work schedules.

Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.

Produce timely and detailed service reports.

Requirements

Field Service Technician candidates should have technical low voltage experience and knowledge of identifying and locating fiber optic cables, building MPOE, patch panels, Data Center Meet Me Rooms, structured cabling, including demarcation extensions and cross-connections, fiber splicing, installing, testing and turning up Telecommunications equipment.

Must have knowledge of LANs, MANs, WANs, TCP/IP, SMTP, SNMP, HTTP, Ethernet, Outside Plant including but not limited to, OTDR, Fusion Splicing, Fiber locating, Transmission, Routing, Switching, Data Center Cross-Connection completion and testing.

Requires on-site customer travel.

Basic Requirements

1. Must have a valid driver’s license without any restrictions and a satisfactory driving record

2. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more

3. Must be able to use ladders

4. Must be willing to Travel to clients’ locations for the assigned geographic region they will be assigned to

5. Must be a US citizen and be able to show proof of citizenship

6. A truck or SUV is a plus but not a requirement

7. Must have a clean criminal background
