Staff Accountant

The Accounting Specialist\Staff Accountant manages our financial activities and ensures our financial records are accurate, organized, and current accounting and bookkeeping functions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in QuickBooks and Excel. Highly organized and have a passion for serving mission-driven business.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial best practices.

• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.

• Knowledge of payroll software and payroll tax regulations.

• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial record-keeping.

• Strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills for interactions with colleagues, vendors, and clients.

• Demonstrated ability to manage highly confidential and personal information.

• Excellent ability to sort through data, analyze, and draw conclusions.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance from an accredited four-year college or university.

Two or more years of experience managing all essential functions is required. Experience in government and Medicare billing is preferred.
