Smith Brothers Tool Company established in 1981 manufactures a variety of tool fabrication solutions for the Space, Aerospace, Defense, and Automotive industries. We are a premier machining, weld fabrication, and tooling shop that provides in-house design, engineering, building, and certification capabilities. Design and tool fabrication include assembly tools, lay-up tools, large and small checking tools, mill fixtures, and more. Some of our customers include Boeing, Bell Helicopter, GE Aviation, and Honda Aircraft Company. We are looking for the right person to join our team!

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparing, fitting and welding materials (steel, aluminum, and Invar)

Fabricates from blueprints

Will use various types of welding methods

Prepares and grinds materials to be welded and fabricated

Uses tape measure and various other measuring methods to insure accuracy

Additional job duties as assigned.

Skills and Competencies:

Minimum of 5 years experience Welder/ Fabricator in the Aerospace industry.

Knowledge of geometric tolerances

Must have experience and understand aircraft tooling AWS requirements (D1.1, D1.2, and D17.1)

Able to read and understand blueprints

Good math, verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organization and follow up skills

Must understand deadlines and how they impact the overall business

Experience with ISO 9001 and AS91000 Quality standards desired

High School Diploma or equivalent.
