Interior Finish Carpenter

We are currently searching for five Interior Finish Carpenters to work in Ottawa location.

Duties:

•Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements

•Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools

•Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials

•Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring and erect walls and roof systems

•Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, moulding and hardware

•Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in residential, commercial and other establishments

Applicants must be able to demonstrate extensive carpentry trim experience.

You will be required to train apprentices and labours.

Requirements:

•Over four years of work experience

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

Handling heavy loads, Combination of sitting, standing, kneeling, repetitive tasks, large workload, physically demanding, standing for extended periods.

Work Site Environment:

At heights, confined spaces, noisy, dusty

Own Tools/Equipment:

Mask, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, all taping tools

Work Setting:

Residential and Commercial

Terms of Employment:

Permanent Position/37.50 hours per week

Should be available to work a variable work schedule

Hours of Work:

From Monday to Friday from 7 am to 3 pm

From $ 32.50 to $ 36.00 per hour
