Position: Security Coordinator
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
The main purpose of the job
The job incumbent partners with the General Manager of our client a limited liability company registered in Nigeria for the provision of advanced security services to achieve objectives consistent with safeguarding client’s staff and assets by providing the highest quality of operational security support.
Principal Accountabilities
Business Development
Facilitate business briefings and meetings and present company proposals accordingly.
Performing market research and Identifying potential customers.
Develop and perform effective and professional presentation and sales of the company security products to targeted potential customers to achieve sales targets
Maintain close contacts with all relevant stakeholders to develop a network and build relationships with key actors to ensure business prospects.
Security & Risk Analysis
Review client report threats/vulnerability information in a timely and effective manner, ensuring that the management of such information enhances their operational security, recommend contingency plan and present to management.
Reports, analyses, and communicates current socio-political context and applicable security situation.
Security Systems and Management
Design/update reliable safety and Security Management System/Contingency Plans for clients
Manage the provision of Security guards/ covers as approved by Management.
Coordinate crisis management exercises (evacuation and hibernation) as required, ensuring periodic incident reporting.
Security Guard Coordination
Design induction documents and facilitate orientation programs
Build the capacity of staff members ensuring periodic increment in security skills and awareness for effectiveness especially in areas of accident prevention, safety, health and occupational hazards by planning and facilitate appropriate learning and development opportunities.
Perform such other functions as may be assigned by Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
First degree or a higher National Diploma Social Sciences or related discipline
6 years’ experience in Security practice and supervision, 2 years’ supervisory experience of security assessment, planning and implementation
Proven experience of security client sourcing and customer retention
Must have excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to translate into effective oral and written briefs/ presentations at all levels.
Requires the highest level of integrity, tact, and discretion, with the ability to lead situations remaining calm with the ability to effectively prioritize, solve problems and execute tasks whilst being able to direct others in times of emergency.
Must be self-motivated, possess a positive attitude and drive with the ability to contribute to a team-based, multi-cultural work environment.
