Computer Support Specialists with Admiral are responsible for our growing network attached devices. These devices run from VOIP phones, to cell phones, 'Big Iron' servers to light-weight thin clients. We also care for and maintain the cabling, switching, WiFi and link infrastructures in our dispersed network fabric covering many sites and in many states.

This particular position will be primarily workstation oriented. PCs, Laptops, Kiosks, Leader Boards, MS Surfaces etc.. This will include initial setup of devices on the bench, travel to install on locations, maintenance and trouble tickets throughout their lifespan, then replacement and disposal at retirement of the device.

We also deal with many mobile devices, iPads, iPhones, Android tablets etc. in the field.

Job Description

Primary Location:Albuquerque, New Mexico

- Must be able to physically move and set up PCs, monitors, cabling etc., which includes under desk and overhead work.

- Must be able to use power tools, ladders, scissor lifts etc..

- Must have a good driving record to be able to use Company vehicles.

- Must be able to follow directions exactly, either verbal or written, even if they don't make sense immediately.

- Must be able to follow documentation, completely, repeatedly, and exactly.

- Must be able to work independently, as well as on a team.

- Must be able to think logically and concisely under pressure and stress.

- Must be able to document and track work and assets accurately.

- Must be able to travel as required, some overnights, and represent Admiral in a good light at all times.

- Must be able to deal effectively with a wide range of personalities.

- Must be teachable, and willing to learn new and exciting stuff.

- Must be able to manage time and many concurrent tasks. (Also, must be flexible to sudden changes)

- Must provide excellent customer service and able to communicate effectively and professionally.

This position will be responsible for initial setup, installation, and eventual retirement of devices. This will include tracking of trouble tickets. problems, licensing, software and tracking of the assets, throughout the lifetime of the devices. To do this, the successful candidate will need to work in and gain competency in many systems, including:

- Active Directory

- Group Policy

- Antivirus package

- Office 365

- Ticketing systems

- Asset tracking systems

- MDM

- Teams

- Sharepoint

- Microsoft Office

- Windows

- etc.

We are a small, lean IT department, so there are many tasks and projects in play at any given time. Juggling of these priorities in an effective and efficient manner is mandatory.

Work hours are mainly business hours 8-5, but we are also required to work odd hours, nights, weekends, etc. at times, depending upon projects and break/fixes. Travel is normally around 3-4 nights a month, but also depends upon workload.
