NDT Assistant Technicians - Resident/Nested

Job Description

Salary:

IRISNDT is currently seeking NDT Assistants in the Canton, OH area. The NDT Assistant will assist NDT Technicians in performing non-destructive Testing of materials while training to become a Certified Technician.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Set up and calibrate NDT equipment under the supervision of the Certified Technician.

Assist NDT Technicians in performing required inspection.

Assist Radiographers in performing radiography of Piping and Equipment.

Assist with proper documentation and reporting of inspection results.

Become familiar with required codes and procedures to carry out testing.

Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management. Requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Valid Driver’s License and pre-access drug and alcohol testing required.

Pre-employment background checks will be required.

40hr Radiation Safety Training required.

Radiographer state card will be considered an asset.

NDT training and experience will be considered an asset.

Technical experience preferred.

Current SPRAT Rope Access certification will be considered an asset.

Physical Requirements:

Move, carry, and lift objects 50 lbs. or more.

Must be able to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb.

Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
