Summary:

Dishwashers contribute to the efficient and effective administration of the restaurant experience by supplying guests and employees with tableware that has been cleaned and sanitized according to established standards. Key responsibilities washing, placing, setting up and maintaining clean tableware, receiving, replenishing, and rotating stock according to established back-of-house standard operations manuals. Essential Job Duties:

Washes, places, sets-up and maintains tableware (i.e., plates, utensils, glassware, etc.) in accordance with cleaning and sanitation standards, back-of-house operating manuals, and IDPRP manual.

Receives, replenishes, and rotates stock according to established back-of-house standard operating manuals.

Performs all cleaning and sanitation of all kitchen-related items and equipment, designated spaces and waste materials.

Responsible for setting up dish machine in the morning and closing down machine in the evening, reports and troubleshoots dish machine malfunctions.

As requested by management, performs other work activities to support the safe and efficient operation of the restaurant.Education,Experience and Behavior Requirements:

Education and Certification:

High School Diploma/GED required or 1 year of experience

Knowledge and Skills:

Ability to operate dishwashing machinery

Basic interpersonal and communication skills in order to effectively engage others verbally

Ability to listen and speak in basic English in order to maintain effective communications in the performance of essential job functions

Ability to read and comprehend basic data sources, written work instructions, policies, procedures and other work materials in English in order to perform essential duties in accordance with safety, sanitation and operational standards and trainingsPhysical Demands

Frequent lifting, moving and carrying of plate ware, cleaning equipment, garbage etc. weighing up to 70 pounds in the back-of-house

Regular and prolonged standing and walking to wash dishes, move garbage, etc.

Occasional ascending/descending stairs across the restaurant to deliver food, pick up dirty dishware, etc.

Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers

Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms

Constant bending, stooping and turning to place dishes in machine, etc.

Constant exposure to hot and damp temperature fluctuations
