PATH seeks to recruit a Global Lead for Large Scale Food Fortification (LSFF) to lead food fortification (primarily rice fortification) and nutrition programs, globally. Food fortification is a cost-effective strategy with proven health, economic, and social advantages. It has a great potential to combat the problem of micronutrient deficiencies in the vulnerable populations who do not have access to nutrient rich foods. For over two decades, PATH has worked extensively to develop the best methods to fortify rice with vitamins and minerals. To ensure that the benefits of fortified rice reach the masses, we are expanding evidence, developing global markets, and working to broaden adoption worldwide. We are also supporting stakeholders to introduce, test, use, and scale fortified rice to combat malnutrition and improve lives. PATH’s rice fortification programs across the globe have already benefitted about 800+ million people.
