Planner/Buyer

Stabilus is the world leader in design and manufacture of hydro pneumatic positioning elements, hydraulic vibration dampers, electromechanical drives and door positioners for automotive and industrial applications. This position will be at our company Tech Products in Miamisburg, OH. Offering an extensive line of shock and vibration isolation products, Tech Products provides solutions for all types of equipment ranging from small medical pumps to large diesel engines. Tech Products' engineers provide testing and analysis support for all products and applications.

Position Summary:

The role is a material planner who also does buying. This role is responsible for and manages production planning, material procurement, materials requirements planning, supplier relationship management among other things. This position collaborates closely with all areas of the organization including Sales, Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Finance. 3/4 of the time will be on the planning side.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

The Planner responsibility would include the following task:

Manage the production planning for the plant, including change order requests.

Ensure the right mix between Make-to-Order parts and pre-Build.

Work closely with the manufacturing management regarding daily/weekly loading but also the handling of expedite production request.

Be the go-to person for quote/order questions on lead-time and production loading.

Ensure processes, procedures and departmental work instructions are documented, communicated, and include effective operational controls.

Update the ERP system with the appropriate data for a Plan For Every Part (PFEP)

Support a system of continuous improvement that drives manufacturing success and KPI improvement.

The Buyer responsibility would include the following task:

Manage raw material and purchased item inventory level.

Ensure the On-Time-Delivery of from our vendors by following-up, expediting and using the proper logistic mean to ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction.

Ensure processes, procedures and departmental work instructions are documented, communicated, and include effective operational controls.

Manage our supplier by selecting/qualifying the “right” supplier for us, monitoring the performance thru a series of KPI and successfully completing price negotiations

Update the ERP system with the appropriate data for a Plan for Every Part (PFEP)

Required Skilled and Abilities

5+ years’ experience in a planner capacity; Buyer experience is a plus

Strong analytical skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office)

Strong problem-solving skills

Proven team player with strong leadership capabilities

Great communication skills

Need to be very Organized.

Accountability:

Responsible to follow all Tech Products procedures and technical guidelines as well as adhere to customer requirements.
