We are currently in search of a dedicated and experienced Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our accounting team in Ann Arbor. This is a long-term opportunity for a detail oriented who is meticulous, able to handle a variety of tasks, and possesses a deep understanding of accounting principles. Pay up to $30/hr. Responsibilities:

Preparation of journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger

Performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and corporate reporting

Account analysis and reconciliations

Ensuring compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures

Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Completing other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

Must have a bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Staff Accountant

Strong understanding of GAAP

Proficient with financial reporting and other metrics, with excellent analytic skills

Ability to effectively utilize an ERP system, Experience with NetSuite is highly preferred.

Strong ability to plan and organize tasks, manage workload efficiently, and meet strict deadlines

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Attention to detail with high level of accuracy

• Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processing

• Demonstrated experience with bank reconciliations

• Skilled in maintaining a general ledger

• Capable of preparing and posting journal entries

• Experience with month-end close processes

• Proficiency in using NetSuite, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

• Strong organization skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement in professional knowledge and skills.
