Role Summary

CHC Helicopter have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Officer to join the team in Aberdeen! The Engineering Officer reports to the Continuing Airworthiness Manager for CHC Scotia and is the key technical contact for the fleet they are responsible for. They provide technical and airworthiness support to the UK and global AOCs as required and are the subject matter on their fleet. This department supports multiple fleets in the oil and gas, SAR and renewables sector and ensures that the aircraft meet the current and future needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities of an Engineering Officer are:

Drive the safety, airworthiness and performance of the company fleet of aircraft by effective management of the product with regards the items below

Compliance with Part CAMO, the CAME, Department Work Instructions and all relevant Safety & Quality requirements to ensure the highest standards of their work

Analysis and processing of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness, repairs, modifications and their equivalents

Monitoring engine health and performance, assisting the HUMS team in vibration analysis

Analysis, reviewing and updating Maintenance Programs

Analysis of reliability data, SMS reports and suggesting amendments to the Maintenance Program to ensure the airworthiness of the aircraft

Responsible for the timely embodiment of airworthiness engineering decisions through liaison with the Maintenance Planning Team, and the Part 145 organization

Maintaining and updating fleet configuration to ensure standardisation and compliance across the global fleet

Utilising the company ERP system to ensure embodiment of airworthiness tasks

Running and interpreting ERP system reports on aircraft status and configuration making changes as required to assure the airworthiness of the fleet

Provide effective and timely response to technical queries from the Part 145 organisations

Responsible for the successful and timely management of varied projects as set by the Continued Airworthiness Manager. Assisting with ARCs, 3rd party audits, and lessor inspections as required

Engage in the improvement, development and embodiment of the Continuing Airworthiness Organisations process, procedures and work instructions

Represent CHC and its fleet of aircraft with the type certificate holder to drive airworthiness, reliability and performance, being the subject matter expert for all technical issues on their fleet

May perform other duties as assigned by Management

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

The ideal candidate will have the following:

A Degree in aviation or relevant engineering discipline or relevant technical experience in either a military or civil environment.

Experience in both base and line maintenance environment as a certifying member of a maintenance organization or military experience as a certifying supervisor (Auth level G).

Experience working in a continuing airworthiness, technical services or quality management department, including airworthiness review and data analysis; CAMO department; Airworthiness records or maintenance planning.

Demonstrate an excellent understanding of UK/ EASA Part CAMO and Part 145 regulatory requirements

A UKCAA/EASA Part 66 Licence preferably with a S92 type rating

Experience in the use of Aviation ERP systems such as AMOS, SAP, IFS, Helisoft or Rusada is desirable.

IT skills including the use of Word, Excel & PowerPoint

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to present technical subjects to audiences of differing technical abilities

Be team orientated

Be able to demonstrate time management

Excellent written and spoken English

Must hold a passport valid for international travel

Must be eligible to hold UK/Aberdeen airport airside pass

Candidates must also have the right to live and work in the UK
