Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you would help ensure the smooth and accurate delivery of our most essential employee services. As our payroll and benefits superstar, you thrive on delivering results in a fast-paced environment and enthusiastically providing your knowledge and expertise to guide critical decision-making.

Candidate should live in or around Atlanta, GA to be considered for this role. This role will require in-office work up to 4 days per month.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience

3-5 years of experience in processing multi-state payroll

FPC or CPP certification, required.

Astute understanding of federal and state labor and payroll laws and regulations

Familiarity with benefits administration

Strong Excel skills (Pivot Table, V-Lookups, filters, etc.)

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Processes multi-state payroll on a bi-weekly basis using online payroll provider for up to 300 exempt and non-exempt employees.

Administers and responds to garnishment notices and medical support withholding notices.

Maintains compliance with state and federal wage laws.

Manages records such as timekeeping, salary history, and payroll data.

Processes changes related to pay, position, and supervisor changes and ensures accurate historical data is recorded.

Monitors completion of onboarding paperwork and processes payroll import.

Processes termination/severance payments, including filling out the necessary paperwork provided to separating employee.

Provides quarterly and adhoc payroll and workers’ compensation data to the Finance department.

Manages the employee vehicle reimbursement program, including processing of payments, entering new employees into the system, and providing monthly reports to Finance.

Supports employee benefits programs by coordinating enrollment, plan changes, and terminations with various benefits carriers.

Ensures accuracy of benefits enrollments in the HRIS and assists in the open enrollment process.

Submits monthly bills to carriers and works with A/R to identify and correct discrepancies found on monthly benefits reconciliations.

Assists with the administration of the company’s 401(k), processes changes related to payroll, and responds to requests from the 401(k) provider.

Assists in termination paperwork associated with conversion/portability of life insurance and final pay.

Understands, processes, and administers all leave of absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA.

Manages leave of absence requests for employees dispersed across various states and maintains compliance and regulatory practices for various states.

Supports the optimal function of the HRIS, which may include installation, customization, development, maintenance, and upgrade to applications, systems, and modules.
