Accounting Manager - Insurance - Base Salary to 120k/year - Washington, DC

Our client, a professional membership organization, is hiring for its insurance operations team. They are in need of a skilled Accounting Manager. Our client manages social workers and other behavioral health professional insurance programs with their policyholdersâ best interests in mind. They offer professional liability, general liability, and group insurance.

Responsibilities

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for leading the accounting function for their insurance operations on a Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) basis and manage and ensure compliance with all financial and regulatory reporting requirements by working with the captive manager. You will prepare all monthly financial statements, perform revenue and expense accruals, work closely with external auditors, and participate in special projects.

Qualifications

5+ years experience in P&C insurance accounting, both GAAP and SAP accounting

Bachelors Degree.

CPA Certifications preferred.

Compensation:

Base salary in the 110k - 120k/year range

In addition, the agency offers medical, dental, vision, 401k with match, PTO, Paid Holidays, etc.

Hybrid schedule. 3 days in office, 2 remote.
