Maintenance Technician

Hire Up Staffing has partnered with a well-established packaging and manufacturing company in Dallas, TX, and is seeking a proactive leader to oversee maintenance operations and drive efficiency within the facility. Position: Maintenance Technician

Pay: Starts at $22/hr. and DOE

Shift: Will start training on 1st shift (avg. 4-6 wks. DOE) M-TH; 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. & 1/2 day Fri. Will then move to a split shift of 5 hours on 1st and 5 hours on 2nd shift M-TH; 1/2 day Fri. for an additional 4-6 wks., and then will fully transition to 2nd shift; M-TH; 1/2 day Fri.; 5 p.m. - 3 a.m.

Responsibilities:

Lead maintenance tasks across all shifts, ensuring seamless facility operations.

Collaborate with operators and supervisors to address equipment challenges promptly. Working with Zerand 55" Press (roll-fed die cutter), prior knowledge and/or experience preferred.

Execute timely repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.

Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance activities to optimize productivity.

Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and equipment records.

Train and supervise maintenance technicians and team leads.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a healthy work environment.

Coordinate with external resources when needed. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience or training preferred.

Ability to interpret technical documents and manuals.

Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations and measurements.

Proficient in problem-solving and decision-making.

Physically capable of meeting job demands.
