Description:

Chef required for a well-established Indian restaurant “GOBIND SWEETS” located at 4/439 Grand Blvd, Craigieburn VIC 3064. Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as a chef in an Indian restaurant. Duties include.

Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and seafood dishes.

Monitor the kitchen staff during the Pre-cooking preparations such as washing, trimming, carving, chopping, peeling, cutting, stirring, mixing, mincing, grilling, and boiling foods such as various meats, seafood, vegetables, and fruits.

Supervise the kitchen staff during all stages of food preparation.

Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.

Plan staff rosters and train new staff

Maintaining the standards of kitchen sanitation and enforcing hygiene regulations to all kitchen staff.

In Return for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package (70K plus Super) and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of practical experience working as a CHEF (In an Indian restaurant) will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, late shifts & public holidays).
