Business Manager- Cairo

The Middle East Broadcasting Networks, Inc. (MBN) is seeking a Business Manager to provide financial management, budgeting and procurement for assigned departments. Serve as an advisor on all administrative matters. The position is located in Cairo, Egypt.

The Business Manager Serves as first point of contact for all Cairo administrative issues, including human resources, facilities, finance, procurement, and security. Directs Cairo office administrative operations and administrative staff in support of program requirements and MBN management. Ensures operations arc compliant with MBN policies, procedures, local laws, and regulations.

The Incumbent will develop and manage the local budget, consulting with local program managers on human and financial resource requirements. Provides timely and accurate data on budget and finance issues. Tracks expenditures, ensuring office operates within approved financial plans and budget allocations. Monitors and troubleshoots key payment issues.

The Business Manager will lead local contract oversight and acquisition of services. Maintains management controls to validate contractor performance. Works closely with headquarters to ensure contracts are modified and renewed as necessary to support operations efficiently. Overseas preparation of accurate and timely purchase requisitions.

The Incumbent will manage local banking operations as necessary. Completes timely monthly petty cash reconciliations and accurate fund reporting.

The Business Manager will lead local human resource management activities; assists with recruitment, coordinates appraisal cycle, and provides guidance on compliance with local labor laws. Ensures appropriate time and attendance monitoring.

The Incumbent will provide information to the Director of Security to ensure appropriate personnel security clearances and physical security standards are maintained.

The Business Manager will ensure appropriate facility maintenance as related to MBN operations. Ensures appropriate maintenance of MBN equipment. Works with headquarters to maintain an accurate, up-to date inventory of all MBN equipment and property.

The Incumbent will report regularly to the Director of Global Administrative Operations on MBN Cairo operations, keeping senior management apprised of current and emerging administrative issues and challenges. Provides management resolution recommendations to resolve issues.

The Business Manager will initiate, maintain, and foster productive working relationships to facilitate and improve communications inside and between departments. Develops and maintains a broad spectrum of local contacts to facilitate meeting MI3N requirements.

The Incumbent will provide a full range of analysis on administrative and other key issues, including detailed, issue-oriented and broader strategic analyses.

The Business Manager will draft proposals, policies, statements of work and other administrative documents.

The incumbent may be asked to perform additional related duties and take on other responsibilities as dictated by events and circumstances.

Candidates are required to have:

BA/BS in accounting, finance, business, or related field.

5-10 years progressively responsible work experience in a business environment.

Proficiency with accounting systems as well as ability to work with presentation, database, and spreadsheet software.

Knowledge of budgeting techniques and strong problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong time management and planning skills and be able to coordinate and prioritize multiple projects and assignments with little supervision.
