The Kimball Electronics Shared Services Customer Account Coordinator is an existing role within Kimball Electronics Shared Services (KESS) and must be located in Mexico. This position reports to the Shared Services Controller. It is a Shared Services position that is responsible for timely billing, cash applications, collections and posting accurate financial data for the North American business locations and is located in Mexico.

Quick Summary

The person in this role will be responsible to accurately process and audit customer billing on a daily basis, follow customer invoice requirements as documented, and work with the individual plant personnel regarding billing errors, to ensure corrections are done in a timely manner so as not to delay customer invoicing/payment. This position will also be responsible for applying cash payments to the customer accounts, reconcile cash payments and work with the individual plant personnel regarding variances that occur from the cash payments. Responsibilities also include cash collections, and coordinating with customer and plant personnel regarding invoices that cannot be paid due to various issues. To be successful the candidate must have accounting knowledge, be able to follow processes/procedures, be detail oriented, self-motivated, show initiative, and possess excellent communication skills, including being fluent in English.

Key Performance Objectives

Short Term: (0 to 6 months)

· Learn KEI software systems

· Billing, including SAP FI invoice document input, along with approvals & account coding

· Cash application

· Develop an understand of KEI’s various integrated processes:

· Billing (including consignment inventory)

· RMA

· Cash Application

· Understand KEI’s approval matrix (learning the org structure) to obtain required approvals

· Update customer invoice requirement documents as needed

· Understand SAP workflow in regards to the billing process

· Setup/update output for customer invoices

· Build relationships with staff at each facility to aid in resolving business issues

· Correspond with customers, both external and internal

· Review customer aging/statements for past due items

· Customer collections

· Prepare I/C monthly billings & reporting

· Month end activities for A/R and cash reconciliation

· Attach payment details and supporting documents to SAP posting document

· Assist maintaining sales tax exemption documents by customer

· Complete credit reference inquiries on customers

Midterm: (6 to 18 months)

· Continue knowledge of SAP’s integrated system to aid in problem solving.

· Address/collect past due invoice balances on customer accounts

· Continue to build relationships with staff at each facility

Other (ad hoc priorities):

· Identify improvements that can be made to the A/R process

· Review/update process documentation as needed

· Support internal & external auditors with requested information

The estimated gross base annual salary range for this role is $25,000– $60,000 per year in New York, California, Washington, Colorado, and Rhode Island. Actual compensation may vary and is dependent on various factors, including a candidate’s work location, qualifications, experience, and competencies. Base annual salary is one component of Kimball Electronics’ total rewards and competitive benefits package, which may include 401(k), paid time off, learning and development opportunities, and comprehensive health and wellness benefits. Salary history is not used in compensation package decisions. Kimball Electronics utilizes market pay data to determine compensation, so posted compensation ranges are subject to change as new market data becomes available.
