Description:

Conduct scientific experiments in a chemistry laboratory; perform extractions and analysis; operate HPLC, GC, and NMR instruments; analyze data and prepare reports as directed by the laboratory director.

Review published scientific literature and prepare written reviews of existing publications.

This is a pooled position.

Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available.

After a period of time, the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.

Required Qualifications Successful completion of at least two years of university-level chemistry, including freshman chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and instrumental chemistry.

Knowledge of biology and biochemistry also helpful.

Preferred Qualifications Spreadsheet (MS Excel preferred) and word processing; laboratory software, computer-instrument interfacing & control knowledge/experience.
