Grainger Corporate Services LLC is seeking a Software Engineer in Lake Forest, IL with the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field plus 3 years related experience.

Prior experience must include: Design inbound and outbound data flows using IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, SAP, EDIFACT, X12, cXML, and RosettaNet and utilize Business Process Integration tools for workflow automation, business rules, and Business Process Modeling Language (BPML) or different message formats; Use Java, Python, and JavaScript for programming to managing data through XML, XSLT, SQL for efficient data handling and automate processes with Shell scripting, maintaining version control with Git/SVN/Bitbucket, and seamlessly integrating AWS/Azure cloud service; Execute mapping tasks using Sterling Map Editor and mapping EDI X12 to XML, CSV, and JSON formats, create XML schemas (XSDs) and JSON models to structure data, perform extensive EDI to XML conversion by mapping documents and elements and test mappings thoroughly for accurate data transformation; Configure trading partner integration using secure communication protocols including AS2 for EDI messaging, SFTP and FTPS for encrypted file transfers, and HTTP/HTTPS for web services and implement data security standards such as PGP encryption for EDI payload security, SSL/TLS for secure web sessions, and strong encryption algorithms like AES 256-bit to protect sensitive data in transit and at rest; Monitor file transfers, analyze logs with SQL and Splunk to create reports and real-time alerts, debug issues by replicating problems, tracing code and analyzing debug logs and recommend improvements to processes based on monitoring insights; Utilize Scrum processes like sprint planning, standups, retrospectives while working in Agile teams, engage with product owners on grooming backlogs and defining user stories, and manage sprint backlog and task boards in JIRA.
