Customer Service Agent, Air Import Classification: Non-Exempt, Temporary Location: Wood Dale, IL (onsite) Working Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm We offer: * A temporary position with the opportunity to learn valuable skills and gain experience in the logistics industry * Competitive pay of $20 - $21 per hour * Periodical performance review with potential raises based on performance * Opportunity to convert to a full-time employee position * A collaborative and supportive work environment.

Overview: A global logistics company is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join their team as a Customer Service Agent in their Air Import department.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable skills in the import industry and potentially build a long-term career with us.

In this role, you will participate in coordinating smooth movement of international shipments by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining accurate records.

While a background in the logistics industry is a plus, it is not required.

We are looking for a positive and eager individual who is ready to learn.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are Limited to: * Coordinate the movement of import shipments from origin to destination and track shipment progress.

* Communicate clearly to keep customers informed about the status of their shipments, addressing any inquiries and following up until successful delivery.

* Process and maintain accurate information in the database system, including sending notifications and confirming shipping details.

* Communicate effectively with various vendors such as airlines, warehouses, and other parties involved in the delivery process to ensure timely updates and address any concerns.

* Identify any issues with deliveries, such as delays or damages, and promptly report them to the appropriate team.

* Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner.

* Other duties requested by Management.

Qualifications: * Proficient in computer skills, including email and basic data entry * Ability to learn new processes quickly * Positive and professional attitude Bonus points if you have: * Experience in customer service or a related field.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Prior experience in the logistics industry is not required but a big plus.
