Legal - REPO Negotiator - Vice President - Dallas and NYC

Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) Legal is looking for a seasoned repo negotiator preferably with asset management experience to provide global legal coverage primarily in the negotiation and documentation of repurchase agreements (e.g., MRAs, GMRAs), tri-party collateral arrangements and related transaction confirmations. Other responsibilities will include implementing global regulatory and market changes affecting the trading and documentation of such transactions, including working with the business, other key stakeholders, repo counterparties and custodians to implement required changes in policies, procedures and documentation. The negotiator would be part of the global GSAM Derivatives Legal team which is part of the broader GSAM Legal team, and provides ongoing support with respect to listed and OTC derivatives, FX, repos, securities lending and other transactions on behalf of GSAM mutual funds, alternative investment funds and institutional clients.

QUALIFICATIONS:

3-5+ years related repo negotiations experience in a reputable law firm, fund, asset management firm or investment bank

Strong substantive knowledge of and experience in cleared repos and other derivatives preferred

High level of initiative, integrity, organization and commercial instincts

Adept at developing interpersonal relationships

Strong written and verbal communications skills
